Lost Boy Found Novel
Someone's telling me that I censor because I hide some comments. They'd claim that I censor anything I don't like. I want to go on record and state that, while I don't usually hide comments, and you can pretty much say whatever you want, I will not allow anyone being an BLEEP hole on my page. Act like a jerk, you get your comment hid, it's simple as that.
These are the ways you get into jerk territory with me.
1: Linking to Pornagraphy. That's mostly for the Encyclopedia Dramatica. I will call the admins on the offending jerk who links to my account there, on the principle that it contains porn. (It has frontal nudity before the fold, it's porn. Simple as that.)
2: Trolling. This doesn't mean that you can't tell me that I suck, you're not the first. It doesn't tell me how exasperated you are over what I put up here, dittos. You can nitpick over every single detail and say that this deviation is piss poor, although some push it by not letting me correct some errors before mocking my bad spelling. (Do I mock other's spelling? I do not.) But if you go all caps, talk like you're twelve, and put too many explanation marks with '1's and 'eleven's in the mix, expect your comment to be hid.
3: Dog Piling. This is how this topic got mentioned. There was one of the constant critics telling me how stupid writing "So not the Draema" is because it will draw the ED trolls. Another constant critics added his two bits in after the first comment. I had to throw the flag on that. I will not allow a couple people to barge in and rag on me over anything. If that comment was made on it's own part and not put as a response to someone else, I wouldn't have done this.
I would not allow a small group of people inside my house trying to force me into anything or to berate me en masse. It's the same principle.
And finally, last, but not at all least.
4: Invoking Politics. Do NOT bring the Shrub into my site. Go to the Daily Kos where that belongs!
Now like I said, I won't mind people critiquing my works, especially if your feedback will help me improve these works. But I ignore people who just criticize just for criticizing, saying about how much I suck and telling me I'm on my own if I want to not suck, and those who say that they want me to get better but shudder at the thought of helping me. And if you flat out act like a jerk doing it, then I have to say, people, the DA admins in their infinite collective wisdom gave me that 'Hide Comment' function for a reason.
Remember folks, dA might own the server this page is on, but the content in this site, both in graphics and text, is as much _my_ property as my apartment. If you wouldn't say or do such a thing in my living room, don't say or do it here.
Tales of Penumaria (re)launched
A couple years back, I started a worldbuilding block where I create my own D&D campaign setting. But it was in a place where I didn't get that much exposure, or if I did, I never gotten much feedback. It's a problem I hope I won't be having here in DeviantART In fact, I made a fresh alternate account (which isn't connected to any deviations here save for a customary link to my main account here) just for restarting Tales of Penumaria with the hopes that I'd get more interest in the campaigns, stories, and lore there. I just posted the first introductory article and I can now like the account to here. Feel free to see Tales of Penumaria over at https://www.deviantart.com/talesofpenumaria .
Possible Return of Tales of Penumaria
A couple years back, I started a series elsewhere on the internet called 'Tales of Penumaria,' which is a series on worldbuilidng and stories based on my homebrew D&D world. While there was some interest on some areas, I rarely got any feedback (not even open flames) where I was posting it, so I dropped that project. In the current economy I find myself needing for some funding to pay some rising bills, and while looking for possible means of earning some money, I'm considering returning to Tales of Penumaria in another place where I already have an audience: Here in DeviantART. I'm still in the pondering stages here and I'm looking for an official way to get started. Probably with a virgin group that doesn't have all the dross that's in my home account here. I also might need to get a Core subscription to get started better. In Tales of Penumaria I talk about my thought processes behind creating the setting, how it meshes into official D&D rules (including Spelljammer and
Need a fundraising project
Okay, I'm seeing a little financial trouble in the coming months. Several bills are about to go up and I need to find something for an additional income. I'm considering making something for a subscription either here or Patreon to pay some bills. But what may I ask? Making a serialized fiction really isn't a problem, the work drive is there once I get going. The problem is finding something that people would actually follow and are interested in, and would give me the feedback I need to keep going. (After all, the main reason why I often give up a project is either people not understanding where I'm coming from, or just plain being antagonistic, or not getting any kind of responses at all, like I'm not even being heard or that I even have people seeing my work. Either way, it doesn't encourage me to keep going.) My Penumaria setting has given me a lot of material to work with, I'm currently designing a game set there (Amber of the Woods) and I can easily make a serialized
Okay I need some advice
I'm just about to start posting Maid to Help, which would have to be a fund-raising project because I'm going to need a new computer soon. The only question is how should I go about with it. I have some options, two of which I know: I could keep it at DeviantART since there are already series out there that are paid, and Patreon, where I already have an account there and I can do a series there. But what I'd like to ask you is where I should do, and is there any guides to where I can post them at. Keep in mind now, I need to do this for funding for a new computer, Belle here is getting there in years and I just discovered that some apps no longer work well with her. But since it's still working, I'd figure start gathering some money for it now rather than when things get desperate for me. Your help in this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

For what's it worth, I've blocked GattinoAlaBlu from this site because she is bringing this argument into hyperbolics by not only her comments as of late, but also by her latest projects that threaten to produce a flame war inside deviantART which could threaten my account here. (I've seen how flame wars can go south very bad very quickly and I do not want that. That's right. I'm using the meme here, it fits so well.) So I'm staying in my page and she stays in hers until cooler heads prevail.
I am NOT losing my dA account over this.
